Olive is one of my very best friends. We became close in the 6th grade and realized we had so much in common. We both loved photography, we both loved creative writing, and we both had similar senses of humor. We could tell each other anything.
Crushes came and crushes went. We shared all of them. We laughed and cried as middle school-aged and high-school aged girls do (and wait, all women in general). But I never saw Olive light up around anyone like she did Brian in her sophomore year of college. The day I met him, I knew they were perfect together. Never had I seen my best friend so in love. And they way they looked at each other could melt any heart, as it certainly did mine.
When I knew they were getting married, I jumped at the opportunity to be their photographer. To document this kind of love was something special, just like our friendship - an insane blessing that I hold dear. The day went perfectly. There were tears, laughter, and overall joy. And finally, Olive and Brian started their new life. Together.
